Chief Investment Officer

Julian Lewis

Julian Lewis is Chief Investment Officer of Cavendish. He has significant experience in investment management, both in the UK and worldwide, as well as specific sector experience in the property, hotel and leisure industries. Julian obtained a first class honours degree in Management Science from the University of Warwick and also has a first class honours degree in Mathematics. Julian currently is manager of the TM Cavendish Worldwide and TM UK Balanced Income funds and the TM Cavendish North American Fund. In addition to Cavendish, he has run various other businesses including property and hotels. He is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI) and holds the MCSI qualification. Julian has been a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants since 1998 and is a chartered wealth manager.

Liz Evans Director of Portfolio Management

Liz Evans has 30 years of industry experience. Joining Cavendish in 1986 after graduation, she spent time working as an analyst before becoming a fund manager, during which time she developed her specialism in Asian and Latin American equities. Liz manages the TM Cavendish Asia Pacific Fund.

Paul Mumford Senior Investment Manager

Paul Mumford has extensive investment experience. Having worked as an Analyst for Norris Oakley Brothers and later as a smaller-companies expert at R Nivison, he moved across to fund management in 1988 when he joined Glenfriars. Paul joined Cavendish at the group’s formation in 1994, and manages the TM Cavendish Opportunities, TM Cavendish AIM and the TM Cavendish UK Select funds.

Caroline Vincent ASIP Investment Director

Caroline Vincent has 22 years of industry experience, 19 of which being gained with Cavendish. An economics graduate, Caroline joined Prudential Portfolio Managers in 1994 where she worked on their European desk assisting in the management of institutional funds. Caroline became a Fund Manager in 1999 and specialises in European equities. Caroline manages the TM Cavendish European Fund.

Alison Hyde CFA, MTSE, CFTe Investment Manager

Alison Hyde has 20 years of industry experience. Joining Cavendish in 1996, she has progressed through the company having worked initially within Fund Operations. Moving into the front office in 2003, Alison took responsibility for the management of a technology focused portfolio. In 2006 she completed the CFA® Program and subsequently was awarded the charter later the same year. She is also a holder of the IMC, STA Diploma and has been awarded the CFTe designation. Alison manages the TM Cavendish Technology Fund.

Ron Bullivant Fund Manager

Ron Bullivant has 28 years of industry experience. Having studied economics at University, Ron entered the investment management industry in 1988 starting in a sales and marketing role with a Far East fund manager. Ron lived and worked in Japan for six years in the 1990s, during which time he gained a direct insight into the Japanese economy as well as that of the wider region. After returning to the UK, he worked in the City before joining Cavendish in 2005 where he began investing in Japanese equities in 2007. He manages the TM Cavendish Japan Fund.

Deepti Goyal CFA, ACA Fund Manager

Deepti graduated from Queens’ College, Cambridge with a degree in Economics in 2002. In 2003, she began working in accountancy and qualified in 2006 as a Chartered Accountant from MRI Moores Rowland. In 2007 she moved to Redburn Partners working as a sell-side analyst covering the IT and Software space. She joined Cavendish in 2010 as an investment analyst. In 2011 she completed the CFA® Program and in 2012 was awarded the charter. In 2013, Deepti was promoted to the role of Fund Manager for the Latin American region. She also continues to work as an investment analyst.

Sylvie Huang CFA Fund Manager/Investment Analyst

Sylvie Huang graduated from Queen’s University Belfast with a BSc (Hons) degree in Finance in 2006, later achieving an MSc in Real Estate Economics and Finance degree from the London School of Economics. Joining Cavendish in 2008 after graduation, she progressed through the company having worked initially as an investment analyst of both the TM Cavendish Worldwide Fund and the TM Cavendish UK Balanced Income funds, during which time she gained specialism in worldwide equities and fixed income. In 2014, Sylvie became a fund manager and took responsibility for the management of a China/Hong Kong Focus Portfolio. She currently has a combined role of managing the China/Hong Kong Portfolio and as an investment analyst for other TM Cavendish OEICs and segregated portfolios with a focus on global equities and bonds. In 2013 she completed the CFA® Program and was awarded the charter. Sylvie is also a holder of the IMC and ACSI.

Tom Donneky Investment Analyst

Tom Donneky graduated from Warwick University with first class honours in Mathematics in 2006 before joining Russell Investments as an equity portfolio analyst. Tom joined Cavendish in July 2014 after working for two actuarial consultancies, most recently Lane Clark & Peacock where Tom advised pension schemes and endowments on their investment strategies. Tom works as an analyst on the TM Cavendish Worldwide Fund and is currently studying towards the level 3 of the CFA Program.
